Choral music, perhaps more than any artform, carries with it the legacy of its rich history right up to the current period. It is not uncommon for choral programs to feature music stretching back four, five, or even six centuries, alongside music of living composers. In this program we will peer into the window of our choral heritage by performing some of the best loved pieces from the historical canon and pairing them with some of the luminaries of contemporary choral music.

Inspired by the work of Dr. Suzy Digby and the Golden Bridge; the idea that California is going through a golden age of choral music, not unlike that of the Tudor period in England.
